The health situation is critical in hospitals in Marseille and the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur region because of the Covid-19 epidemic. On France Bleu Provence this Tuesday morning, Professor Richard Nicollas, medical director of the Covid crisis at the AP-HM (Marseille University Hospitals) announces that the Regional Health Agency has just triggered level 5 of hospital pressure in establishments in the region. This means that all non-urgent, non-vital interventions are deprogrammed. According to the Professor, this situation is identical to that experienced during the 1st confinement in March 2020.

At the end of last week at least 5 patients from Marseille hospitals were evacuateds towards the west of France to be taken care of to avoid saturation, 5 new patients must be transferred at the start of the week to other regions.
