Letterman’s band to Jimmy Fallon

Paul Shaffer and the World’s Most Dangerous Band, who were David Letterman’s legendary late-night show band for 33 years, will replace The Roots on Friday at Tonight Show by Jimmy Fallon.

Why ? Because Questlove and his band must attend the Grammy Awards Gala festivities in Los Angeles.

It will only be a replacement for one evening, specifies the magazine RollingStone.

The last broadcast of Tea Late Show with David Letterman took place on May 20, 2015.

It was two years later that Paul Shaffer and the World’s Most Dangerous Band reverted to their original band name after being forced to call themselves Paul Shaffer and the CBS Orchestra.

Jimmy Fallon said he was honored to receive the training as Paul Shaffer told RollingStone not yet know exactly which members will be present. He nevertheless confirmed the presence of Felicia Collins on guitar and Anton Fig on drums.
