Planting trees is the easiest way to fight against heat islands in cities like Montreal, a measure that would reduce the use of air conditioning in the medium term. But now the Hydro-Québec teams are regularly forced to reduce the vegetation cover in order to protect the vast forest of poles and wires that disfigure the city.
