It was an outing like any family can do on vacation: this Wednesday afternoon, the Spanish royal family strolled through the shopping streets of Palma de Mallorca. On leave on the Balearic island for several weeks, King Felipe VI, his wife Letizia and their two daughters, the infantes Leonor and Sofia, mingled with the crowd, taking advantage of this moment outside the Marivent palace, where they resident.
This time, no protocol, greeting the crowd or even gala clothes: abandoning his usual tuxedo, Felipe VI was dressed in shorts and a blue polo shirt, matching his moccasins. Equally relaxed, Queen Letizia had opted for a shirt from a local designer (€69) and shorts… bought at Pimkie for €10! An all-natural look, complete with a pair of espadrilles and a blue bag… In short, with her glasses on her head, she looked like any mom!
Her daughters, as always, had taken care of their summer look: the eldest, Leonor (16 and a half years old) had chosen a pink dress signed Mango, a brand that she particularly likes. Her sister, Sofia (15), meanwhile, had once again highlighted her long tanned legs with a very short khaki dress, from the Sfera brand. And according to their habits, the two young girls had on their feet wedge espadrilles, shoes that they did not take off on vacation.
After a nice morning shopping and strolling, the whole family then returned to the palace where they undoubtedly found the queen dowager Sofia, who had joined Majorca at the very beginning of the summer and who should remain there for quite some time. It must be said that since the abdication of her husband, Juan Carlos I (due to stories of corruption) and his departure abroad, the octogenarian lives alone in Spain.
For the first time in several years, however, she had invited her two eldest daughters, Elena and Cristina, to join her in Mallorca. While Elena came with her two children, Felipe (24) and Victoria (21), Cristina only brought two of her four children (Pablo, 21, and Miguel, 20) and only has not dragged: cold with her brother since the story of corruption in which she was also involved with her future ex-husband Inaki, this one had not spoken to him for several years. Not to mention her sister-in-law Letizia: very angry, the queen would refuse to speak to her!
