Letizia from Spain: Cold snap in Sweden … despite an impeccable winter look!

While waiting for the big reception scheduled at the Royal Palace in Stockholm on Wednesday evening, the King and Queen of Spain have a busy agenda for their first day in Sweden. Tuesday, November 23, 2021, Felipe and Letizia arrived in northern Europe for two days of official visit, at the invitation of King Charles XVI Gustave and his wife Queen Silvia. Wednesday morning, the two sovereign couples met for a very formal first meeting … marked by a carriage ride!

In the courtyard of the palace, Felipe VI and Letizia were welcomed with great pomp with a military procession, “blue” carpets and horse-drawn carriages. Unaccustomed to the Swedish climate, the Spanish queen appeared somewhat chilled in her red dress and her new fur-collar cape signed Carolina Herrera (one of her favorite brands). For this first outing, the 49-year-old journalist completed her outfit with a handbag, also signed by Carolina Herrera, an elegant headband from the Spanish brand Cherubina and a pair of camel pumps.

Already Tuesday evening, the mother of Princesses Leonor and Sofia (15 and 14 years old) had distinguished herself at a reception organized at the Spanish Embassy. In front of the Spanish residents living in Sweden, the queen appeared on her thirty-one in her belted and asymmetrical white dress, accessorized with a pair of pumps and a python-patterned clutch (see slideshow).

Wednesday evening, state banquet requires, Letizia of Spain should appear in an evening dress. Will she bring out her magnificent diamond tiara, which she recently wore to the Royal Palace in Madrid?
