Serial defections in the ranks of Marine Le Pen. After the departure of MEPs from the National Rally Jérôme Rivière and Gilbert Collard, Marion Maréchal said on Friday that he leaned towards the candidacy of Eric Zemmour, rather than his aunt’s side. Finally, Saturday January 29, Nicolas Bay, who accompanies Marine Le Pen in Madrid, refused to say if he would be at his side until the first round of the presidential election.

After these unenthusiastic departures and statements, the National Rally candidate urged those who wanted to leave the party to do so as soon as possible. “Let those who want to leave leave, but they leave now”, launched Marine Le Pen on the sidelines of a trip to the Spanish capital, where she meets on Saturday its far-right and sovereigntist allies in Europe. “I consider that we can change sides, but we have to do it now because we have 70 days before a major event for the future of the French”, she added, during a tense microphone with the press.

“To have people who, today, pretend to be here, when in reality their hearts or their minds are elsewhere, it was unbearable”, she reacted, blaming them “the taqiya that they themselves reproach the Islamists”, she added in reference to the concept in the Muslim religion recommending to conceal one’s belief in case of danger.

Invited on Saturday morning by franceinfo, RN MEP Thierry Mariani for his part declared that he did not intend to follow this movement. “Today, I am staying with Marine Le Pen, because I think she is the only one who is in a position to win among the candidates who defend national ideas., he said, assuring that he had “a lot of esteem for Eric Zemmour.”
