Freshness of life, is the third volume of the saga #The same, appeared at Editions Fluide Glacial, third opus published on February 1st. A tornado of freshness with Paulette, Huguette and Lucette, average age 80, at the very least. They are very much alive, free, independent, read the newspaper (paper), listen to the radio, and fall asleep in front of the TV. They give their opinion on everything, and on themselves. You can easily spot them, their essential accessory which is an extension of their body: the shopping cart.

The three heroines of Sylvain Frécon are not seniors like the others, they are grannies who remain above all free women, who do not lower their arms, and claim their old age. They have an opinion on everything, and there is no question for them of letting themselves slide into the gloomyness of old age.

Huguette, Lucette and Paulette are headscarf punks, white-haired rockers, who talk to us about their daily life, news, new technologies, but also feminism, sexuality or love.

“When I see them, I am in awe, and I wish I had their strength. Our world is moving too fast, but they are hanging on, they are always there, standing there, ready to face it.”
