Les Soeurs Jumelles Festival, the meeting place for music and image in Rochefort sur Mer from June 22 to 25

At the initiative of actress and producer Julie Gayet, professionals from the image and sound sectors (cinema, television, advertising, video games, music, etc.) and the public are invited to meetings to discuss, learn, create and have fun.

The festival Twin sisters offers, every evening from June 22 to 25, 2022 several new creations with different musical universes. The “Twin Sisters” 2022 it is also conferences at the Théâtre de la Coupe d’or in Rochefort or at the Apollo 8 cinema.

10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on the main stage of the Corderie Royale:
Show “One sings, the other does not” in tribute to Agnès Varda and his favorite composer Joanna Bruzdowicz.With Rosemary Standley (Moriarty), PR2B, Marie Oppert, Neima Naouri and Susan. The singers perform songs evoking Agnès Varda’s quote, “The future of women is together”, in a show that pays tribute to the commitment of this great artist. A joyfully feminist show!
Accompanied by the musicians of Michel Legrand, under the direction of Matthew Herzogand with the exceptional participation of the violinist Anne Gravoin, four artists from various artistic universes take up titles from today and yesterday reflecting the resilience and struggle of women. Inspired by the film by Agnès Varda One sings the other does not, directed by Judith Henry on an idea of Rosalie Vardathis show is punctuated by archive images from the INA and Ciné Tamaris which honor these inspiring women for all of us.

With Françoise Fabian, Clotilde Hesme, Dani, La Grande Sophie, Clou, Adrien Gallo, Pierre Guenard and Dominique Besnehard…Alex Beaupain signs a new show around the cinema of Serge Gainsbourg, created in residence at La Sirène (The Current Music Space of the La Rochelle Agglomeration). JB Dunckel (AIR): “At the sources of electro” The co-founder of Air group improvises on analog synthesizer. Produced by INA, this live creation is a musical and audiovisual performance: director Jaïs Elalouf, alias “DJ Oof”, a specialist in synchronized archive music videos, brings the French founders of electro music to the stage through cult images .

9:30 p.m. at Clos Lapérouse
The Invisible Cinema by Stephan Eicher. Stephan Eicher presents an original creation based on film scripts, written by great names in literature.
