(Montreal) Comedian Mariana Mazza won the most prestigious award at the Les Olivier gala for a second time, while the top nominee, Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais, won three statuettes.

The 23and Gala Les Olivier, which rewards the best humor in Quebec, took place on Sunday evening.
Mariana Mazza who has been touring Quebec since 2021 with her second one-woman-show, impolite, was crowned comedian of the year. She had won this honor for the first time five years earlier.
Mariana Mazza was however absent on Sunday from the gala hosted again by comedian François Bellefeuille.

Favorite with four nominations, Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais was the big winner of this evening, although the Olivier of the year escaped him.

Also on the web, episodes of The Appendices: back after the break won the Comedy Web Series of the Year category. The evening, broadcast on Radio-Canada television, was also an opportunity to reward television comedies.
Series The beautiful discomforts 2.0 by Martin Matte and the show Between two sheets signed by Mathieu Pepper have both won an Olivier in their respective category.
For his part, host Jean-Sébastien Girard won in the capsule or humorous radio sketch category of the year for his column Name of a Blowjob – All About Cum.
Earlier this month, six other Oliviers were awarded as part of the Gala de l’Industrie for the texts of the year in TV and on the Web, as well as for the broadcasters, producers and management houses of the year.
