“Les Folies Fermières”, a cabaret show on the farm

This Friday, February 25, France Bleu gives the floor to our young farmersnewcomers or buyers of the family farm, settled all over France.

With more than 450,000 farms on the territory, more than half of our metropolitan land for agricultural use… we are all linked to this farmer generation.

Economic crises, health crises, income instability, health or personal problems… Certain factors lead operators to experiencing difficulties in their business. To survive, they have to find solutions.

Direct Access receives David Caumette, breeder in Guarrigues in Tarn. To save his farm, he opened the first “farm-inn-cabaret” in France. A cabaret show animated by professional dancers with at the end, a meal with local products. All for forty euros.

A success that inspired our second guest, director Jean-Pierre Améris. His film, simply titled “Les folies fermières” and adapted from the story of David Caumette, will be available at the cinema May 11.
