The Notebooks of Esther is a comic book series by Riad Sattouf. For six years, over the books, he tells the adventures of Esther, a little girl he met during a dinner at his house in 2014. The author tells his daily life since he was 10 years old. It’s about Instagram, girlfriends, creepy guys, the Covid, babysitting, drugs that come to school, annoying parents and fear of the future. In addition, there are characters with funny nicknames such as Mr. Booger, the history-geo teacher, or the “hose woman”, the high school principal.
The 7th volume is called Story of my 16 years and has just been published by Allary Éditions.
