France ideally launches its preparation for the Euro. The French beat Germany for their first preparation match for Euro 2022, Friday September 30, in Metz (34-31). The Olympic champions were carried by Alicia Toublanc, omnipresent in the second half, to secure the victory, despite some defensive scares.

Faced with this opponent that they could find in the second round of the continental competition, everything was not easy for the Blues. They initially led by four goals (13-9, 17th), before being caught and then overtaken in the second half (21-24, 42nd). But they managed to reverse the trend to finally win on a last goal from Alicia Toublanc.

They will face Germany again, Sunday October 2 in Nancy, before flying to North Macedonia, Montenegro and Slovenia, where the Euro takes place from November 3 to 20.
