Les Bleues will challenge Finland, Brazil and the Netherlands in the Tournoi de France

We know the program that awaits the players of Corinne Deacon in a little over a month. Friday January 7, the French Football Federation (FFF) formalized the calendar of the Tournament of France – a kind of preparation competition before the Women’s Euro, scheduled for July 6 to 31.

Les Bleues will launch hostilities on February 16 against Finland, in Le Havre, where they will then host the Dutch European champions on February 22 after having in the meantime faced Brazil in Caen (February 19).

The most anticipated poster is that between France and the Dutch, winners of Euro 2017, who will put their crown on the line next summer in England. The two teams could also face each other in the quarter-finals during this competition.

In 2020, the French won the first edition of the Tournoi de France, a friendly female competition organized each year by the FFF in February or March. The next edition, in 2021, was canceled due to travel difficulties related to Covid-19.

After the Tournament de France, the Bleues will have two qualifying matches for the 2023 World Cup to play, against Wales and Slovenia in April. It will be the last gathering before the Euro. Preparation for the European Championship should begin around June 10, with a cohesion course and friendly meetings on the program. The list of coach Corinne Deacon should be unveiled at the end of May.
