The French finished second in the 4 x 100m, ahead of the Netherlands, in bronze.
World vice-champions, and now European vice-champions: a few weeks before the Paris Olympic Games, the women’s tricolor 4 x 100m relay is doing well. In Rome, the French women finished second in the relay on Wednesday June 12, bringing home the first medal in the discipline in ten years.
The tricolor relay, made up of Orlann Oliere, Gémina Joseph, Hélène Parisot and Sarah Richard, held its place, a few weeks after its silver medal at the World Relay Championships in the Bahamas, behind the Americans. Despite a better time (42”15) than during the Worlds (43”09), the French were unable to do anything against the British team (41”91). However, they are ahead of the Netherlands (42”46).
