Based on a Ford Transit, the e-RV Concept is advertised as fully functional and bases its energy reserve on a rather traditional format 86 kWh battery. The vehicle doesn’t appear to have been based on the electric Transit unveiled by Ford last year, but rather adapted with a powertrain supplied by OEM Lightning eMotors.

The estimated autonomy is all in all modest, amounting to 200 km, according to Winnebago, when the vehicle supplies the various electronic devices on board. However, it is said that this will meet the needs of 54% of the manufacturer’s customers.

Without giving a lot of technical details on the project, it is specified that an air conditioning with heat pump is integrated into the equipment and a control panel makes it possible to adjust and measure the energy consumption of the various devices.

Classifying itself in a very popular category of class B motorhomes, this proposal, which should logically become a production model in the near future, could interest customers wishing to reduce their carbon footprint. We know that these large, less aerodynamic vehicles still consume a lot of fuel.

We now wish that the autonomy increases, because, even if the recharge takes 45 min on a fast terminal, according to the manufacturer, it is rather low for long trips.
