The match between Leicester and Norwich scheduled for Saturday, counting for the 21st day of the English Championship, has been postponed at the request of Norwich who could not, because of the Covid, line up his team, announced the Premier League on Thursday.

“The board took into account the request from Norwich who did not have the required number of players for this match, namely thirteen outfielders and a goalkeeper, due to the cases of Covid-19 and injuries “, explained the governing body.

Norwich, the red lantern of the English Championship, said for his part that this decision had to be taken following the results of PCR tests carried out in the workforce: “those who have tested positive are placed in solitary confinement”, specified the club without indicating the number of players concerned.

This is the 17th match of the British Championship postponed since December 9, including three of the nine scheduled for the traditional Boxing Day, December 26.
