It is in Camp-boule, the very first chalet built on the mountain which is currently undergoing major renovations, that this new gastronomic offer will be set up.

“It’s a fantastic site with an incredible view! With skiing in winter and cycling in summer, we saw the need to create life in the mountains 12 months out of 12. We completely redid the interior, a terrace will be added, “explains Nicolas Racine, vice -president and executive general manager for Groupe Le Massif, which hopes to welcome outdoor enthusiasts who come to enjoy the mountains as well as locals or tourists passing through the region.

David Forbes, who knows the area well since he led the opening of Le Bercail restaurant at Germain Charlevoix (formerly La Ferme), will lead this new gourmet address in the region. Reached by telephone, the executive chef did not hide his enthusiasm: “I love the region with a deep love! Over the years, the producers have become friends, I feel at home there. »

L’Effet Papillon is inspired by the small mountain restaurants you can see in the Alps, for example. Think fire, cheeses, charcuterie, but also local and even wild products harvested in the mountains. The team will offer a three-part menu: brunch, aperitif and evening service. Obviously, all of this is bound to evolve over time and according to the tastes and desires of the clientele.

The place, which will have 90 seats inside and around 60 on the terrace, should serve its first customers around mid-June, in time for the opening of the mountain biking season.
