He spoke for the first time since the start of the war between Hamas and Israel. In a speech, the leader of Hezbollah, a Lebanese terrorist movement, said on Friday, November 3, that the prospect of “Total war is realistic.” “The enemy must prepare for it”launched Hassan Nasrallah.

The leader of pro-Iranian Hezbollah blamed the United States for the ongoing war in Gaza and said that “all options” were open for a widening of the conflict on the Lebanese front with Israel.

He claims that Hamas alone made the decision to start war against Israel

He made the United States assume “full responsibility” of the war in Gaza, claiming that Israel was not “only an instrument” of execution. “You Americans know very well that if a war were to occur in the region, neither your fleet nor air combat will be of any use to you,” he warned. “Your interests, your soldiers and your fleet will be the victims and the biggest losers.” Washington responded by warning Hezbollah that it should not “seek to profit” of the war between Israel and Hamas.

Saluting the battle “heroic” of Hamas in Gaza, Hassan Nasrallah affirmed that the Palestinian Islamist movement, his ally, had taken the decision alone to start the war against Israel, and had not informed Hezbollah or Iran. Hassan Nasrallah’s speech was eagerly awaited, to find out if he was going to drag Lebanon into the conflict. Hezbollah fighters intervened against Israel on the border between the two countries the day after the war, but the fighting remained limited.
