In recent days, the case has been making a lot of noise in the media. Last Monday in “The Hour of the Pros”on CNewsJordan Bardella claimed that “Marine Le Pen does not want Anne-Sophie Lapix to lead the debate” between-two-turns. The event is scheduled for Wednesday April 20 and will be broadcast on TF1 and France 2. As the president of the National Rally explains, Anne-Sophie Lapix finds it difficult to make sense of things and to conceal “his hostility towards Marine Le Pen every time she receives it”. A few days later, Emmanuel Macron also announced that he did not want the journalist to be present on the evening of the debate. To replace it, it’s the journalist Léa Salamé who was selected. An important moment for the colleague of Laurent Ruquier, who does not hide his apprehensions as the big day approaches.
After Christophe Jakubyszyn and Nathalie Saint-Cricq five years ago, it’s good Gilles Bouleau and Léa Salamé who were chosen to arbitrate this face-to-face between the two remaining candidates. On this occasion, our colleagues from Parisian went to collect the impressions of the two journalists. For his part, Gilles Bouleau does not seem to show concern about the magnitude of the task. It is not the same case for Léa Salamé who says she has “the fear”. An endangerment for Léa Salamé, but above all a way to show who she really is. “I have been criticized enough in my career for being too aggressive and too hard. So it makes me smile to hear, for a few days, that politicians would have chosen me because I would be soft or inoffensive”she said.
misunderstanding reigns
The duo who will animate the debate also has its opinion on the controversy surrounding Anne-Sophie Lapix. The two journalists defend their colleague without hesitation. “That’s not what I perceived in the interviews that Anne-Sophie did. That he has an opinion, OK. But that he declares it publicly, I find that a little more disturbing”said the presenter of the JT of TF1. A point of view shared by Léa Salamé who says she had “a great pleasure to work with” with Anne-Sophie Lapix for the show “Elysee 2022”. “It also bothered me. It’s not up to politicians to give journalists a good or a bad point on a TV set”recalls Léa Salamé.
