Léa Salamé announces that she is putting her career on hold for her companion Raphaël Glucksmann and his new challenge!

Member of the European Parliament since 2017, Raphaël Glucksmann announced this Wednesday, September 13, 2023, his intention to run again in the European elections which will be held in June 2024, most certainly with the Socialist Party (PS) with which he has been sitting for five years. After his failure in 2019, the essayist and director claims to have “learned lessons” and prefers to campaign only “pass [son] time in dark rooms discussing endlessly with political apparatuses.

This decision has a direct impact on the work of his partner Léa Salamé who is a journalist. Indeed, according to information from Le Parisien, the famous 43-year-old journalist who works on France 2 but also on France Inter, sis committed to not receiving any political guests during this period, particularly in the interest of impartiality, with regard to his work on television. She will therefore continue without interruption, the presentation of her show Quelle Époque every Saturday evening. “I support him, I accompany him in his reflectionsbut what has mattered most to me for fifteen years has been my political neutrality: no one knows who I’m voting for.” she also confided to Gala in 2020.

Léa Salamé withdrawn for her darling Raphaël Glucksmann
As for the radio, it is specified that Léa Salamé “will not do no political interview in the morning during the official campaign in May 2024. Our colleagues from Le Parisien add that this decision isa wish on his part to protect the channel”. However, France Inter emphasizes that “Raphaël Glucksmann has been a deputy for 4 years” and “this did not prevent Léa Salamé from questioning all the country’s politicians or presenting the debate between two rounds of the presidential election” opposing Marine Le Pen to Emmanuel Macron in 2022.

We also note that already in 2019, Léa Salamé had agreed to limit her air time when her darling ran for the first time in the European elections. “I would make the same decision if it happened againwithout blinking” she chanted in the columns of the magazine Strategies. As a reminder, Raphaël Glucksmann and Léa Salamé have been a couple since 2015 following their meeting on the set of the show On n’est pas couch sur France. Two years later, they became the happy parents of a little boy.
