Léa Pool, Yan England, Ricardo Trogi and Daniel Roby are among the directors who will obtain funding from the Société de développement des entreprises culturelle (SODEC) for the production of their next film. In all, 14 fiction feature film projects were selected by the organization.
Based on a screenplay by Michel Marc Bouchard, The hero’s outfitby Léa Pool, who talks about the immigration of LGBTQ+ refugees, is one of the lucky ones.
The same goes for the youth film Fanny Cloutierdirected by Yan England and inspired by the series of books written by Stéphanie Lapointe.
Continuation of the films nineteen eighty one, 1987 And 1991, 1994-1995 of Ricardo Trogi also receives support from SODEC. This new part of this autobiographical series will focus on the filmmaker’s participation in the Race destination world and his debut as a director.
Last month, 1994-1995 had also obtained funding from Telefilm Canada as well as Villeneuve, a film by Daniel Roby about the famous racing driver Gilles Villeneuve. This biographical sports drama will in turn receive funding from SODEC.
Other feature films supported include Furiesby Melanie Charbonneau, earn your skyby Mathieu Denis, and Kabul, Montrealby Bachir Bensaddek.
