Since when has a first trio album come to us like this, directly from the stage, without going through the studio together? I do not know anymore. I only know one thing: it was imposed. The three-person team of Ariane Roy, Thierry Larose and Lou-Adriane Cassidy can only be experienced in these places of communion. Since the Francos in 2022, spectators have returned to live the astonishing experience on every occasion, to the point of knowing songs by heart that until then had only existed separately. From a few particularly invigorating evenings, the trio has created versions that would otherwise be unimaginable: it’s almost as powerful as being there, in their crazy company. Delicate melodies opening with almost screamed choruses, extreme modulations and heightened feelings, texts both tender and tragic, nothing resembles the beautiful violence of their alliance.
