An entirely free event, the Grand Est University Film Festival opens for its 5th edition from October 12 to 15 in Metz. Screenings, meetings, round tables are on the program of this great student festival…but not only!
Formerly Metz Student Film Festival, for its 5th edition the festival changes its name and becomes the Fudge, with a new dynamic focused on the region and supervised by professionals. It takes place from October 12 to 15 in Metz.
The Cesars of the student film
Organized by the MOC student association, the Festival du Fudge aims to introduce the work of student directors to the general public and professionals in the field.
Nearly 15 short films are in competition ranging from documentaries to disaster films, from thrillers to animated films, from drama to SF and screened at the Klub cinema in Metz during the two evenings of Friday 14 and Saturday 15 October.
The jury responsible for deciding between them is made up of actors, sound editors, filmmakers, teachers, it is chaired by Nina Robertdirector and producer in Messina.
For this edition, the public and students will have the opportunity to discover and exchange with actors and cinematographic structures of the Grand Est region throughout the festival thanks to the round tables and various meetings organized.
On the program of the Festival
- Wednesday, October 12: screening-meeting of student films (out of competition) – 7 p.m. at the Agora
- Thursday, October 13: round table at 4.45 p.m. (UFR Arts, Letters & Languages) then screening-meeting at 7.30 p.m. at the Klub de Metz
- Friday, October 14: screening of student films in competition #1 at 7 p.m. at the Klub
- Saturday October 15: round table at 2 p.m. “how to make cinema?” (MCL Saint-Marcel) and screening of student films in competition #2 then award ceremony at 7 p.m. at the Klub
