In Germany, a warning shot against the surveillance of telephone data. A 2015 law to collect data from all citizens’ phones and computers, just in case, was challenged by the Court of Justice of the European Union. It was supposed to track child crime. The politicians have therefore revised their copy: “Data will only be collected if there is a specific risk”detailed Marco Buschmann, Federal Minister of Justice.

In Spain, Andalusia is embarking on tax dumping. Offensive, the conservative president of this autonomous community has launched a political bomb. “I tell entrepreneurs in Catalonia: ‘Leave your region.’ In Catalonia there are wealth taxes, not here.” Finally, in Belgium, the Walloon motorways will no longer be lit. From 10 p.m., darkness invades the asphalt. The measure is expected to save 400,000 euros per year.
