Lavalloise Sounkamba Sylla is French champion of 400 meters indoors

Sounkamba Sylla was crowned French champion in the 400 meters indoors, this Sunday, February 13 during the French National Indoor Championships in Lyon. The Laval athlete smashed his personal best indoors in 53 seconds and 62 hundredths.

In June 2021, just before his participation in the Tokyo Olympics, the athlete from Stade Lavallois athletics had improved his record in the 400m outdoors, with a race in 52 seconds and 57 hundredths. This summer, Sounkamba Sylla flew to Tokyo with the France team, selected for the 4x400m relay, in which she ultimately did not participate.
