Three suspects involved in an attempted kidnapping with a firearm in the fall of 2021 have been arrested by police in Laval.
The facts date back to November 16, 2021 when the three individuals in a vehicle reportedly arrived on the grounds of a secondary school in the Sainte-Rose district.
An altercation reportedly broke out with two victims who were beaten by the suspects, who allegedly tried to force them into the vehicle.
The kidnapping attempt was aborted thanks to the intervention of a person whom the suspects threatened with a gun, before firing a warning shot in the air and fleeing.
The police quickly found one of the suspects in a residence in the Sainte-Dorothée district where a search led to the seizure of a large sum of money.
Another search carried out on December 9 of the same year led to the seizure of several objects related to the attempted kidnapping.
The police investigation continued before leading to two arrests on February 19 and 23 and a third last Thursday.
Moussa Mahammed Hussein, 21, and his two acolytes, who were minors at the time of the events, will appear at the courthouse.
They face charges including attempted kidnapping, assault, pointing a firearm and accessory after the fact and possession of a firearm.
