The Laval Police Department (SPL) is investigating a fire of suspicious origin that heavily damaged three vehicles overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday.
The Laval Fire Department was alerted shortly before 1 a.m. to two vehicles on fire in the parking lot of an industrial building on boulevard Leman, near rue Belgrand, in eastern Laval.
When they arrived on the scene, the firefighters noticed that a third vehicle was also on fire in the backyard of the building, before quickly controlling the flames which did not cause any injuries.
Due to the suspicious nature of the fire, the file was transferred to the Laval police for investigation, said a spokesperson for the Laval Fire Department, without specifying the extent of the damage caused to the vehicles.
