An accident involving a 53-foot heavy vehicle and several other vehicles caused a fire on Route 335 Friday afternoon. Six people are believed to have been involved in the accident, some of whom died.
The event took place around 2 p.m., near rue Saint-Saëns, according to the Laval City Police Service (SPL). “Emergency services are still on the scene in full intervention,” specifies the SPL, which recommends avoiding the sector.
Of the six people potentially involved in the pile-up, three people were taken to hospital with serious injuries and their lives are no longer in danger. The number of dead has yet to be determined by investigators.
Route 335 is closed in both directions in the area where the incident occurred.
