Laval drama | Letter from the parents of Maëva David

Dear Maeva,

With your departure too fast and which should not happen, we, as well as your big sister and your big brother, lose the company of a true ray of sunshine which devoured life.

Overflowing with energy, she spent at times more time in the air than on the ground, during her travels, while being capable of attention and a deep calm during her activities. The days, according to her and in her company, were “too great” as only she knew how to put it so well. She was capable of anything, equipped with her extraordinary physical abilities and her disconcerting alertness.

She always had the right word to make you laugh or to make you react. Her daycare was a real living environment for her, where she loved to go to play with her friends.

She had everything to become a committed and multi-talented citizen. She will continue to shine in her own way by what she has taught us, day by day, by the indelible memories she bequeaths to us as well as by the lessons learned from the unspeakable event that will have made her little heart stop… but which will not prevent him from remaining our little one Shooting star for all time. As the title of her other favorite song says that she asked to listen to every day on the way to daycare: your loved ones as well as all america crying.

We would like to express our deep sorrow and our affection for all the people directly or indirectly affected by this tragedy. We would also like to thank all those who have provided support, through their rapid interventions, their generous actions or their benevolent discretion. Your gestures mean a lot to us and we are grateful to you. A special ceremony dedicated to Maëva will be organized at the church of Ste-Rose-de-Lima, to allow all those who wish to pray.

Maeva’s parents

Jessica and Nicholas.
