(Quebec) The driver of an off-road motorcycle died after skidding late Saturday afternoon in Lac-Ernest, in the Laurentians.
Emergency services were called to Route 3 at around 4:45 p.m. where a group was hiking.
“According to preliminary information, a group of three off-road motorcyclists were riding on the road. Among them, a 35-year-old motorcyclist apparently lost control of his vehicle and was ejected,” said Adam Marineau, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
“A collision subsequently occurred between the 35-year-old man and another motorcyclist. The 35-year-old man was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene,” explained the SQ spokesperson.
An investigator and a reconstructionist from the Sûreté du Québec were dispatched to the scene to investigate the causes and circumstances of this fatal skid.
The identity of the victim was not immediately released.
