(Ferme-Neuve) A person who allegedly suffered serious injuries during a “nautical accident” Saturday evening in the Baskatong reservoir, in the Hautes-Laurentides, is missing, indicates the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
Around 6:15 p.m., patrol boats from the Antoine-Labelle MRC and emergency services were called to intervene following the nautical accident.
The nautical patrol and SQ divers have since been dispatched to the scene to try to find the person, says Nicolas Scholtus, spokesperson for the SQ.
Investigators from the major crimes division and reconstructionists are on site to try to determine the causes and circumstances of the event.
