(Rosemère) A gas leak leads to the closure of Highway 640, in both directions, Saturday morning between Rosemère and Lorraine, in the Laurentians.

Few details were immediately available as to the origin of this gas leak, whether it comes from a building along the highway.
“Around 8:45 a.m., police officers from the Laval highway station were called to intervene on Highway 640 at kilometer 24 in Rosemère to assist the fire department,” said the information officer of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) Nicolas Scholtus.
Highway 640 is therefore closed between Route 117 in Rosemère and Boulevard de Gaulle in Lorraine for an indefinite period.
