(Piedmont) An inanimate body was recovered Sunday morning from the waters of the Rivière du Nord in the Piedmont sector, in the Laurentians.

The presence of the body was reported to the police by a citizen, shortly after 9 a.m.
“At the moment, we do not have the identity of the person. We will have to carry out expertise in order to be able to identify the body, ”said the spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec, Nicolas Scholtus.
It is still too early to make a connection between this discovery and the teenager who fell into the Rivière du Nord in Sainte-Adèle, about two weeks ago.
