Laurent Jalabert is a sports enthusiast and at 53, he seems fitter than ever! It must be said that the former star of French cycling has a gift for physical effort. Fourth in the Tour de France in 1995, winner of the Tour of Spain, he is one of the best riders of his generation. If today he excels in his role as a consultant for France Télévisions, where he rubs shoulders with the very popular Marion Rousse, the one nicknamed Jaja is nonetheless very active on a daily basis. After a very busy month in July, he decided to treat himself to a great vacation, but not without sport!
Very active on Instagram, where he is followed by nearly 105,000 subscribers, Laurent Jalabert likes to share moments of life with his fans. Lately, Jules’ dad, who is an up-and-coming runner, has been posting quite a few photos from his vacation in Corsica, where he has been running and cycling, but all this had one goal: to be ready for Vichy Ironman. This very physical race which mixes cycling, swimming and running was held last weekend and unfortunately for the former champion, the water test had to be canceled because of the poor water quality of Lake Allier.
We all made it with this decision
On Instagram, Laurent Jalabert published a short video where we see him crossing the finish line and he took the opportunity to give his opinion on the decision of the organizers. “For the critics, be aware that when a person registers on the starting line, months in advance, it is not to be happy to see an event canceled! It is unfortunate but it is acts the decision of the local authorities. We have all done with this decision”he reacts, before concluding: “Personally, I’m rather very frustrated, but that’s the way it is.. You have to respect the decisions, the hardships and above all, the effort of everyone!”
