Despite a completed descent in the second stage of qualifying, Quebecer Laurent Dumais was unable to qualify for the finals of the freestyle ski moguls event on Saturday.
His score of 71.39 was insufficient to find himself among the 20 finalists. Dumais had obtained a score of 69.76 on Thursday during a first attempt.
Australian Matt Graham, who was one of the main opponents of champion Mikaël Kingsbury, also saw his career come to an end during qualifying. Having missed part of this season with a broken collarbone, Graham had a tough run to score 65.13 points on Friday. He won the silver medal at the Pyeongchang Olympics in 2018.
The finals of the men’s competition, where Kingsbury are favorites to win, take place later on Saturday.
