Doubly vaccinated, Laurent Dubreuil’s coach spent the last World Cup in isolation at a hotel, in Norway, due to a positive test for COVID-19 on Thursday. Gregor Jelonek will therefore not be able to return home with the long track speed skater in the next few hours.
Jelonek tested positive on Thursday on the eve of the first day of competition in Stavanger, where his protégé won the 500-meter event on Saturday and finished second in that distance on Sunday morning.
