Succession is ensured at the Manaudou. Although the former Olympic champion put aside her retirement on several occasions, she definitely put away her bathing suit and swimming cap to devote herself to her family life. Now the mother of three children (Manon twelve years old, Lou six years old and her youngest born last January whose identity is still unknown), she does the best job in the world.
Asked about her new life, Laure Manaudou confided last June on Instagram that she did not intend to expand the family with a fourth child. When a surfer asked her what she was doing that day, Jérémy Frérot’s companion confided: “Not much except taking care of my children. Three takes time and a lot of energy. I won’t have four. My job is a stay-at-home mom! Frankly, I find that more hard as a sports career. I did not expect so many upheavals. I am still waiting for the light bulb that will light up above my head, the day when I will have the illumination of what I want do with my life. But I don’t mind living like that, I’m lucky. I’m waiting for them to grow up a bit to go back to sporting events and make me happy. When you’re a mom, you forget and it’s important to think of yourself. This 3rd child, it was difficult, a lot of fatigue, we are not supported or understood enough. We want to do our best and when we can’t do it, we are lost”.
Aware of how lucky she is to be able to devote herself fully to her children, Laure Manaudou has kept this habit by only very rarely displaying elements of her private life, although she responds without filters to her subscribers. This Wednesday, February 3, 2022, the beautiful brunette took advantage of a family outing to photograph her youngest and share the snapshot with her community in her Instagram story. We see the boy aged just over a year from the back with a hat tightly screwed on his head to protect him from the winter cold. So cute !
