The calm after the storm. Admittedly, the most famous expression is not this one, however, it is undoubtedly the one that best suits Laure Manaudou and Jérémy Frérot. Indeed, the couple knew very complicated days in recent weeks, in particular because of the fires which struck the Gironde and the region in which they reside.
A disaster that they did not hesitate, like Pascal Obispo and other personalities before them, to relay on social networks in order to reveal the chaos that reigned in this part of France. Jérémy Frérot gave additional details on the hell he was able to attend, in the columns of the Parisian. “Yesterday, from the path leading to my house, I saw the flames of the forest, it was getting bigger and that night, we had to evacuate, there was too much smoke, it was unbearable. It was going into the house, impossible to fall asleep, we were afraid of becoming intoxicated and never waking up”he confided with a heavy heart.
Beauty despite the chaos
Laure Manaudou’s companion did not stop there and lamented the fact that “Since then it’s been burning, it’s been burning, and we still see these clouds of smoke in front of us”. However, he did not forget to salute the work of the firefighters who “do a crazy job”. “It will come back all the time, these enormous heats are more than problematic […] Pilat will never look like it used to.”.
And Pilat does not look much like what it once was… Indeed, the couple made the choice to return there a few hours ago to see the damage as they relayed it on their social networks. Laure Manaudou, very moved by the lunar landscape, still wanted to immortalize a few complicit moments between the father and his son, who was recently at the water’s edge with a shark, which offered a most touching shot to their community.
