The fires continue to spread in Gironde. 19,000 hectares have already burned to believe West France, including a good part of the forest which borders the Bassin d’Arcachon. An area inhabited by Laure Manaudou and Jérémy Frérot, who could only see the damage from their home.
“I watch the basin burn, powerless“, wrote the former candidate of The Voice in his Instagram story this Monday, July 18, sharing a snapshot of a field with gigantic smoke rising on the horizon. We then see him on the left of the photo watching this tragedy with his arms crossed, being totally helpless. He then shared two videos on which we can see this time the fire, and not just the smoke. “The Basin will never be the same again” he had already regretted in his story last Sunday, while he was at the beach. A thick black cloud was then visible in the sky.
“Hell in Heaven”
For her part, Laure Manaudou shared in her story a publication by Christelle Gauzet, former candidate for Koh Lanta. A horrifying photo, on which we see the forest succumbing to the uncontrollable flames of these fires. “Tonight… Hell in heaven. Not enough words to describe this tragedy” can we read in the caption of this atrocious shot. An image therefore reposted by the former swimmer, who added two emojis, one crying as well as a heart. Her lover Jérémy Frérot also reposted the publication, adding as for him a head hurt emoji.
As a reminder, Jérémy Frérot and Laure Manaudou have been in a relationship for more than seven years. The two lovebirds have lived together in the South West, region of origin of the singer, for several years. They married in 2018, a year after the birth of their first child together: a little boy named Lou. Another followed in 2021 but his first name has still not been revealed by the couple. A family completed by the presence of Manon, the eldest daughter of the swimmer and her ex Frédérick Bousquet.
