Talented actress and director, Laura Smet has carved out a place for herself in the great family of French cinema. But before establishing herself in the 7th art, the daughter of Johnny Hallyday and Nathalie Baye experienced an unusual childhood. Guest of Cédric and Vincent on the show 100 terminals on December 18, David Hallyday’s sister talked about some car memories with her father, including one particularly “scary”.
At the time, Raphaël Lancrey Javal’s partner was only 12 years old and was spending the holidays in Saint-Tropez in the Taulier’s house. “He had a Ferrari”she remembered before continuing her story. “IU2 was performing in concert in Nice. I don’t know what happened, but he wasn’t in a very good mood that night. He decided that I should be the one to go to the concert in the car. I was 12 – 13 years old and I don’t know what happened to him, he didn’t speak for an hour and a half and he was driving at over 200 on the small roads. He had the air conditioning on full blast. I freaked out.”

“IIt freaked me out.”
Surprised by the young woman’s confidences, the two hosts tried to find out more. And if Laura Smet didn’t say anything during this horrible journey, it’s because of the rocker’s character. “My father sometimes scared me a little, especially when he didn’t speak”, she explained. However, she assures that she has no trauma from this episode. “I had complete confidence because it was my father and at the same time I still felt something a little dangerous. Since then, I have not been afraid, it has not traumatized me, but in dangerous places I I’m not very comfortable.”
And to conclude: “We arrived safely, we saw the concert, he was happy, it freaked me out a little, it made him laugh and we had a really good evening.” Quite an anecdote!
