Since November 15, Marion Cotillard has been starring in the film Little Girl Blue. In this feature film by Mona Achache, the actress retraces the life of the director’s mother who was abused on several occasions. Having become a writer and photographer, she committed suicide in 2016, leaving behind thousands of photographs, letters and audio recordings.
To better understand the death of her mother and who she really was, Mona Achache asked actress Marion Cotillard to play her mother in this docudrama-style film which delves into Carole’s childhood, her relationship with her mother, the writer Monique Lange, and the abuse suffered by Carole at the hands of men like the writer Jean Genet.
