The Altice Media group, owner of RMC and BFMTV, announced on Sunday January 16 to launch an internal investigation after learning that Jean-Jacques Bourdin was the subject of a complaint for “attempted sexual assault”. “We learned through the press of the existence of this complaint. We spoke with Jean-Jacques Bourdin who vigorously disputed the facts denounced”, says the group in a statement sent to AFP.

“For the sake of transparency, Altice Media is having an internal investigation conducted to ensure that no such fact has been brought to the attention of the managers or colleagues of the interested parties (complainant and implicated)”, announces the group. Altice Media specifies following “with the greatest attention the possible developments of this case” and take “all the measures that may be required depending on its evolution”.

After nineteen years of service, Jean-Jacques Bourdin leads his last season at the head of the political interview at 8:30 a.m. on radio and BFMTV. The star journalist is at the heart of the system set up by the channel for the presidential election.
