A new device for collecting asbestos waste in the metropolis of Châteauroux, from Monday 3 October. A paid device, which is aimed at individuals for a maximum surface of 100 square meters of asbestos fiber cement.
The implementation of this collection follows the hailstorm last May, which damaged many roofs. Those containing asbestos must be removed and disposed of according to a special procedure.
How it works ?
As of Monday, October 3, affected owners can call the green number 0 800 02 54 17 to make an appointment to check if they are eligible and to establish an estimate. A second meeting will be scheduled for collection, which takes place on Friday morning. On that day, a skip will be parked at the home of the individual, who will load himself, once equipped, the sheets in an approved bag, which will then be transferred and treated at the Gournay landfill site.
How much does it cost ?
The Community Council of Châteauroux Métropole voted a fee schedule for this procedure on September 29th.
The estimate includes: the supply of the asbestos protection kit, the approved bag, the provision of the dumpster and the personnel, then the transfer and treatment of the waste.
