It is at Noumatrouff in Mulhouse that the four boys from Last Train, all from Altkirch (Haut-Rhin), are preparing for this long-awaited Olympia (the concert was scheduled for November 2019 and has had several successive postponements).

The group’s tour does not coincide with the release of a new album but with that of a new title entitled How did we get there. A twenty-minute piece, accompanied by the Orchester symphonique de Mulhouse (with which the group has already collaborated in 2019 for the title The Big Picture). This song is also the soundtrack of a clip in the form of a short film directed by guitarist Julien Peultier: “We love cinema and film music. Being able to meet the two with the means we have is quite nice”.

As they told Franceinfo Culture in 2019, Jean-Noël Scherrer, singer and guitarist, Julien Peultier (guitar), Timothée Gerard (bass) and Antoine Baschung (drums) are childhood friends. It was in college, at the age of eleven, that they began to make music. Their first concerts, they gave them in 2014 in Alsatian bars before participating a year later in the Tremplin du Printemps de Bourges. With their rock energy, Last Train is a band made for live, on stage. An energy that took the four friends on tour in Europe, then as far as Asia and the United States.

The group has recorded two albums, weathering (2017) and The Big Picture (2019). The latter gave rise to a forty-three-minute documentary directed by the guitarist by Julien Peultier who followed the band during the recording of their second album in Norway in 2019. The opportunity also to tell the friendship that unites these four boys for several years.

After the Olympia on March 22, then a detour via the Netherlands and Belgium, Last Train will return to France from April 14 with a concert in Annemasse in Haute-Savoie. The tour continues until the end of July. All dates here.
