While the purchasing power law is currently being examined in the Senate, the last Council of Ministers before the summer is organized at the Élysée, Friday July 29, where we find Caroline Motte.

The members of the government will take a few days off, but they have received instructions, and perhaps even some vacation duties. “There are still a few working days left before the holidays. The ministers are asked to stay in Paris until August 7, the time to definitively adopt the bill on purchasing power, but also that on the amending budget“, reports Caroline Motte, live from the Élysée Palace.

Ministers can then “breathe for a fortnight, provided they remain reachable and mobilized at any time, less than two hours from Paris. This last Council of Ministers is also an opportunity to take stock, the lessons of this year“, explains the journalist. “‘We were told that France was ungovernable, and yet we managed to hold the helm.’ This is what the entourage of the Head of State confides to us“, indicates Caroline Motte. The recovery will take place on August 24. From the start of the school year, the government will be mobilized on energy savings.
