Noticed in reality TV Redneck Island (yes, yes, it exists), Riley Green talks about pickup and beer in his songs. Kelsea Ballerini, who is currently the youngest member of the Grand Ole Opry, definitely deserves the attention of festival-goers. There is something strong and more anchored, on the other hand, in Ashley McBryde, which is due to her richer and deeper voice, and to a je ne sais quoi more biting.

Brittany Kennel
Along with Léa Jarry and Sara Dufour, Brittany Kennel is one of the local singers invited to Lasso. Originally from Beaconsfield, she spent time in Nashville where she notably played with The Recklaws and Tenille Townes (also in Lasso), and she would be the only Quebecer to have walked the stage of the legendary Grand Ole Opry.

Old Dominion
With Luke Bryan, Old Dominion is at the top of the list of Dany Côté, musical director of Hit Country. He is not the only one: all the people interviewed by The Press about Lasso want to see this band from Nashville with their super approachable airs and apparently endowed with a very good sense of humor.

Matt Lang
Having a penchant for the pop side of country music doesn’t prevent you from rooting it. Matt Lang sometimes has a little bluegrass side, although he mainly relies on guitars that groove or cry with good power. The guy from Maniwaki is favored by Hit Country listeners, assures Dany Côté. He is also an excellent artist on stage, says Nick Farkas.
