Two teenagers were injured Sunday evening in the borough of LaSalle following an online transaction that went wrong.
The armed assault occurred around 11:50 p.m. near the intersection of Newman and Angrignon boulevards, in the borough of LaSalle.
An online transition would be at the origin of the meeting of a group of five young men all under the age of 20.
For some unknown reason, the victims wanted to flee the scene in their automobile, but were pursued by another suspicious vehicle.
“The driver of the victim’s vehicle lost control and hit a tree,” said Montreal Police Department spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils.
It was at this time that the suspect allegedly injured two of the five victims, aged 16 and 19, with a knife or a sharp object. The teenagers were transported to a hospital, but there is no fear for their lives.
The suspect is said to have fled and no arrests have been made so far. The scene has been protected for investigators who will try to shed light on the circumstances of the event.
