Large vehicles and the climate crisis

Like those believers who search the skies for signs of the imminent arrival of a savior, millions of people believe that the arrival of the electric vehicle, green growth and new technologies will allow us Westerners to continue our race for overconsumption.

In 2022, in light of the extreme heat, droughts, forest fires experienced in recent weeks in Europe, the United States and elsewhere in the world, we should expect our politicians, to fully understand the situation, push lobbyists ever more, and they use when necessary, not carrots, but sticks to make those who have not understood that it is time for energy sobriety understand, in transport and elsewhere. This is for our good and that of the planet.

And faced with this announced decline, let’s dream a little: 2026 — Montreal is now considered the Copenhagen of cycling in North America.
