Some citizens were asked to evacuate their residence Tuesday in Dolbeau-Mistassini in Saguenay – Lac-Saint-Jean as part of a large police operation.

In the evening, a perimeter was still in effect on Avenue Louis-Hémon several hours after the start of the operation.
The Sûreté du Québec continued to silence the reasons which led it to surround a residence, citing operational reasons.
“The operation has been underway for about 3 pm this afternoon, but in order not to harm the rest of the operation, I cannot say anything more,” said Sergeant Hugues Beaulieu.
The SQ spokesperson clarified that “some evacuations” were carried out.
It was not possible to know if one or more arrests took place, or if a person could have been injured in this case.
