(Montreal) A woman in her fifties suffered serious injuries in a collision in Sainte-Geneviève-de-Berthier, in Lanaudière, on Friday afternoon.

According to the Sûreté du Québec, whose agents went to the scene around 2:45 p.m., the driver lost control of her vehicle on rang Saint-Esprit. She hit another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
The woman was transported to a hospital where she is in critical condition. The driver of the other vehicle was also injured and transported to a hospital, where his condition would be considered “less serious”, according to a spokesperson for the SQ, Hélène St-Pierre.
This portion of Route 347, in the MRC D’Autray, remained closed in the early evening.
